Holiday decorating is what I wait for all year! It's fun because you can get away with anything, like putting colorful ribbons on your dining chairs and hang decorative balls from almost anywhere!
There are so many possibilities, and the best thing is that you can do a lot with a small budget and some creativity. You can use things that you might already have, like coffee mugs and winter socks. You can use dried tree branches and pine cones from your backyard, which are free of course. The key is not to be afraid of being as creative and original as possible!
Here are some of my favorite holiday decorating ideas:
Use fruits, chocolates, and candy for decorations. Use contrasting colors for a more fun display!
Instead of using stockings, use rain boots to stuff with goodies, what's better than getting shoes as one of your gifts? Sure beats socks!
Used mittens and scarfs to creatively decorate your front door.
Do decorate your dining table with fun ornaments.
Use dried branches and paint them (or not) to use almost everywhere.
Again use fruits as decorations.. Feathers are fun too!
Use ribbons and greenery to decorate, it's cost friendly and very affective.
Use scrap paper to make ornaments, it's fun and interactive for the kids, too!
Do decorate your kitchen and bathrooms.
Use coffee mugs that you might already have and stuff them with colorful candy and small ornaments
Do use pillows as decorations.
Again, greenery and ribbons. Effective.
Use china that you might already have in unexpected places and dress them up with ribbons.
Again, dried branches have endless possibilities.
